Susannah
is from California. She went to Minneapolis to have a transperson
earlier this year, but it didn't work out and she had to go home
for a little while. Susannah had her transperson
on October 10, 2000. Now they gotta wait til the marrow stuff starts
to grow. Please ask God to make sure everythin' goes
gud and she gets 100% A+.
We
got an e-mail recently from Susannah's mommy and daddy. She is havin'
sum problems with bugs. It seems these little bugs are climbin'
up her central line and then colonizin'. They are called Vancomycin
Resistent Enterococcus (VRE). These are really bad bugs cause they
don't give up when the Vancomycin comes (it's a really strong antibiotic).
The gud news is there is anuther new medicine that can help chase
them away, so please pray that the new stuff kills all the bad bugs
or chases them away and Susannah gets better real soon.
We
got sum more e-mail from Susannah's Mommy and Daddy. They are doin'
gud. She's also A+ 100%. Please ask God to keep it that way and
make the enzyme stuff become normal.
Just
when ya thawt it was safe to post a prayer 'quest, sumthin' happens.
The gud news is when it happens, it let's us know what's happenin'.
The bad news is Susannah wasn't doin' gud. She's had to go to the
warm blanky room 'cause there were sum bugs in her lungs. They thawt
it mite be fungus, but is wasn't. They said it was gud news 'cause
that meant it was just virus bugs, but if ya ask me, bugs is bugs
and I don't like 'em. When we heard last, she was on the vent, but
s'posed to get off soon. She also had a chest tube that wud come
out when she got off the vent. Please pray she get's healed real
soon. She's a really pretty girl and I want to meet he in person
sum day when we all get better.
We
got an update from Susannah's daddy and mommy. She is still on the
vent, so pray real hard. I mean REAL hard for her, Jaxon, Tommy
and all the other kids on vents and things rite now.
We
haven't heard much from Susannah's mommy and daddy, but last we
heard, the doctors cudn't figure out what was wrong with her. Please
ask God to fix her. She's a really cute little girl who deserves
to become a big girl sum day.
She's
off the vent, but they still haven't figured out why she keeps havin'
feevers. Ask God to get rid of 'em please.
Last
Saturday, Susahhah went into respiratory failure. It took 'em five
ours to get her stable. She's on the vent again and has ta have
full blood pressure support. Guess ya know what I want ya ta do.
Susannah
seems to be doin' pretty gud, 'cept her brain is thinkin' a little
slow. They think it's 'cause of all the drugs they been givin' her.
Please pray that's all it is and that she starts thinkin' and doin'
faster than her mommy and daddy put together.
As
of a cuple of days ago (August 9, 2001), Susannah was havin' problems.
She keeps findin' feevers all over the place and can't seem to chase
'em away. They finally decided she had VRE (vancomycin resistant
enterococcus). Those are sum really bad bugs and they are hard to
get rid of 'em. Please ask God extra speshul nice to chase 'em away
- for gud. They waz s'posed to go home on July 11, but they haven't
made it yet!!!
I
just looked at Susannah's page. She has sum problems with her mommy
and daddy 'bout updatin', but at least her's is only a week old
(May 1, 2002). She's doin' fine. They are back at home in sum place
called San Diego, but they're fixin' to go to Minnesota for a check
up. Susannah has been having a hard time makin' baby blood sells.
Please ask God to fix that. It looks like she's gettin' better,
but ya can never pray too much.
